Maybe you´ve been through a big disappointment or going through a situation right now that´s just not really fair. I challenge you today, don´t sit around feeling sorry for yourself or allow that circumstance to overwhelm you. One of the best things you can do is to go help somebody else in need.
The Bible tells us, “God turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends.” Isn´t it interesting, Job didn´t see breakthrough by sitting around feeling sorry for himself. He didn´t get healed when he prayed for himself. And we should pray for ourselves and present our requests to God, but if you really want to see things change, go out and be a blessing to someone else. Look for ways to refresh the people around you and watch how your own soul becomes refreshed in return. As you give, it will be given back to you, pressed down, shaken together and running over in every area of your life!

From day one, my sister, Becky, has always been my role model. These past few days have been the hardest on me and my family. Seeing my sister rushed to the emergency room is not exactly how I planned my weekend to go… She’s been in the hospital for about three days now. She’s been having seizures and heart failures. The doctors still don’t know what is wrong with her. Although she is physically weak, she’s still the strong willed and bighearted Unni she always was to me. It truly pains me to see her immobile and to see her hooked up to all these machines and tubes. It’s hard for to even gather up the energy to smile for a picture… I can’t even imagine how that feels. I’m not mad at God for putting my sister through these times of struggle, because I know that he has a great big plan for her. I’m glad I can be apart of my sister’s life. She’s sincerely beautiful inside and out.
Please keep my sister in your prayers. It would really mean the world to me.

From the Inside Out.: Random Thoughts #2
A lot of people have been asking me why I don’t go out and party often or why I changed so much from high school. The simple answer is that I could care less about those things at this point in my life. They don’t make me a better individual, nor get me any closer to where I want to be.
When I was in first grade my teacher told me that I could be anything I wanted if I put my mind to it. As I grew a little older, I realized that this motto is only half true. Not everyone can make it to the NBA, become famous singers, or doctors. If you really want something you have to be willing to put in above and beyond what is deemed necessary, and that might not even be enough. The reality of the situation is that there are only limited spots available. Working hard doesn’t guarantee success, but laziness definitely sets you back. Therefore, I am always driven by the fact that when I am resting, another man is out there trying to take my dream away. I can’t let that happen.
By no means am I saying that I found some secret recipe to make it in this world. For all I know, I may look back at this post in a few years and laugh at my immaturity and stupidity. As a matter of fact, I am contemplating deleting this right now haha.
However, what I am saying is that, for the time being I am willing to sacrifice my pleasure for something greater. It is what motivates me every morning and what keeps me from falling asleep at night. I am thankful to God for everything He has blessed me with, and I pray that He can continue to align my will with His.
